Time Warner Cable SportsNet will broadcast its first L.A. Galaxy soccer game at 4 p.m. Sunday when the Galaxy visit the San Jose Earthquakes. Pre-game begins at 3:30 p.m. with Access SportsNet: Galaxy.
Mark Rogondino will call play-by-play for the telecast and Cobi Jones will serve as the color commentator. Rogondino, a Southern California native, is in his eighth consecutive season as a member of the Galaxy’s television team. He has covered soccer games and tournaments around the world, including the CONCACAF Champions League, Barclay’s Premier League, the Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and more. Jones, who scored the first goal in LA Galaxy history, played for the team for 12 seasons before coaching for three and then joining the telecast team. He is the Galaxy’s all-time leader in games played and assists and a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
Andy Adler will host the “Access SportsNet: Galaxy” pre-game show on Sunday and she will be joined live in studio by former LA Galaxy and United States National Soccer Team Coach Steve Sampson.
Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes can be found only on Time Warner Cable on channels 403 or 481 in HD or channels 28 or 35 in standard definition.
Negotiations with other providers to carry the networks are ongoing but have not yet concluded.
