Pac-12 Conference football fans have a new destination to watch their favorite school. The Pac-12 Networks launch at 6 p.m. Wednesday and are scheduled to broadcast 35 football games this season.
The league’s three ranked teams, USC, Oregon and Stanford, will appear on the Pac-12 Networks five times in the first four weeks of the season.
In the Coachella Valley, Time Warner Cable customers can receive two Pac-12 Networks — one channel devoted to USC and UCLA (Pac-12 Los Angeles) and another channel that focuses on the entire conference (Pac-12 National).
Time Warner Cable Desert Cities digital customers who subscribe to the Variety Package will receive the Pac-12 Los Angeles Network on channel 570 in high definition and channel 470 in standard. Digital customers can also receive the Pac-12 National Network by subscribing to the sports package. The channel numbers are 571 in high definition and 471 in standard.
As of Wednesday morning, Time Warner Cable was the only cable option in the desert that is carrying the new networks. Satellite providers DirecTV and Dish Network along with Verizon FiOS have not reached an agreement.
