Former CBS Local 2 sports anchor Scott Hennessee will launch a new two-hour daily sports talk radio show this week on Team 1010 (KXPS-AM).

The Scott Hennessee Show will air weekdays on 1010-AM from 2-4 p.m., beginning Tuesday, Aug. 7.

The addition of the Hennessee show means a juggling of the afternoon sports talk lineup on Team 1010. Julie Buehler’s Day Off show will now air from noon to 2 p.m., with On the Air with Fox and Lecair airing from 4-7 p.m.

“Scott has a great passion the Coachella Valley, and enjoys covering Southern California teams,” said Team 1010 Program Director Brian Jewett. “He is a true professional, and we look forward to having him onboard.”

Hennessee will be joined by his father for some added perspective. “I’m so excited to talk sports with my dad every day,” Scott said. “I mean, we talk sports most days anyway. The only difference is now we’ll be using microphones instead of telephones to communicate. I plan to have a lot of fun with the show, and hopefully the listeners will, too.”
