Baseball fans can catch an 11-day free preview of the MLB Extra Innings package starting this week on Time Warner Cable.
The free preview begins Thursday and continues through April 15 and features more than 100 out-of-market games during the 11 days.
Digital customers of Time Warner Cable can purchase the season-long Extra Innings package at an early-bird price of $179 if they order before April 15. That is a $20 savings off the season rate of $199.
Among the package features are dual-broadcast feeds where some games are delivered in both the home and visiting team broadcasts.
In addition, the package offers a multi-screen mosaic of multiple screens that shows all the live action from games being played at the time, along with scores, inning and channel location.
The MLB Extra Innings package presently does not include high definition broadcasts on Time Warner Cable Desert Cities.
“We are only able to offer the MLB Extra Innings package in standard definition at this time,” Time Warner Cable spokesperson Elli Tourjé said. “We are planning on expanding our current high definition lineup of more than 100 HD channels to include MLB Extra Innings in the future. We hope that our customers enjoy the free 11-day preview of MLB Extra Innings starting on Thursday.”
For Time Warner Cable customers in the desert, MLB Extra innings can be found on channels 950-963.
