Times’ Diane Pucin, who was booked on a the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Center. This is her column from 2001.

The other is from the great Bud Collins. For those of you wondering, Bud had knee surgery after a fall at the U.S. Open, but seems to be doing fine, according to his wife Anita. She is also the one who posted this story from Bud.
